Ways to Give
Giving is easy and can be accomplished in many ways:

  • Make your gift online. 
  • Cash or check donations delivered or mailed to the parish office.
  • Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) established through your bank on a one time or recurring basis.

Tributes and Memorials
Gifts can always be given in honor or memory of a loved one or family member. Since gifts made to The Foundation are added to the endowment and carefully invested, rather than given away, they continue to provide financial assistance to Holy Spirit School in perpetuity. To give a gift in honor or memory of a loved one is actually to give a “Forever Gift” on behalf of that person.

Legacy Gifts
Donors who have supported Catholic education over the years can continue that patronage through strategic estate planning. Appreciated stocks, real estate, life insurance policies, 401K funds, or tangible personal property can all be donated or willed to Holy Spirit. In addition to the potential tax advantages of making a legacy gift, you will be ensuring that Holy Spirit can live on for generations to come.

IRA Required Minimum Distribution (RMD)
When you reach age 72, annual withdrawals from your traditional retirement accounts are required. That amount is called a required minimum distribution, or RMD. If you are in the fortunate position of not needing your distribution for living expenses, you can avoid income tax on your required withdrawal by donating your money directly to a qualifying charity, or Holy Spirit.

Stock/IRA
Gifts of stocks, bonds, mutual funds, real estate, etc., that have appreciated in value since their purchase continue to be an attractive gift for many donors. Please consult your tax attorney or tax preparer for the deductibility of your gift. Circumstances will vary with income and other factors. Gifts of stock can only be sold with verbal confirmation from the Parish office to the bank. If you are planning to make a stock gift, please notify Jessica Newhof, in order to initiate the sale. Planned Gifts
Consider extending your support to make a lasting impact. There are several gift arrangements that allow you to provide for your family as well as support Holy Spirit. For further discussion please contact Jessica Newhof.

Gifts-in-Kind
Tangible personal property or professional services can be given to support Holy Spirit. These gifts may be eligible for a deduction of the item’s fair market value, if the gift is related to the “charitable purpose” of Holy Spirit.

Corporate Matching Gifts
A matching gift program provided through your employer or board membership may allow you to double or even triple your gift. Many employers sponsor matching gift programs for their employees, retirees or board members. If the purpose of your gift needs to be designated in such a way to allow this we are able to make these accommodations.

Educational Foundation Tuition Enrichment Program

Giving to the Educational Foundation endowment is necessary to the longevity of support for students at the school and in faith formation programs. Some folks, however, appreciate seeing the immediate impact of their gift. Unlike making an endowed gift, these gifts will provide immediate support to students and families who may need it. As a sponsor through our Tuition Enrichment Program, your annual gift for tuition assistance will help remove financial barriers for families.

GIVING LEVELS:

Titan Sponsor – $5,380
Be a Titan sponsor and provide the entire cost of full tuition for one student for one school year.

Spirit Sponsor – $2,690
Be a Spirit sponsor and provide enough to cover half-tuition for one student for one school year.

Dove Sponsor – Any Amount
Be a Dove sponsor and make a gift in whatever amount makes sense to you.

You can make a one-time gift for the entire amount or set up a monthly, quarterly or annual recurring gift to the Holy Spirit Educational Foundation for tuition assistance.

Volunteer
The gift of your time to Holy Spirit Parish and School is greatly appreciated. You can help with church ministries, the Religious Education program, and various school needs in the lunch room, or playground. You can make a difference!
